DescriptionOn June 22, 2026, Kleros founder Clément Lesaege posted 'Validator Redirected Revenue' on Ethereum Research — proposing validators redirect 0–10% of staking rewards to ecosystem infrastructure, with the rate becoming mandatory for all validators if 51% of stake-weighted validators opt in above zero. Lesaege explicitly called the post a "conversation-starter" and said he will "seek further feedback before working on a technical implementation to put forth as an EIP." Reaction has been sharply divided: Yearn's banteg warned of cartel-contract attacks, Rotki's Karapetsas predicted validator exodus, and attorney Gabriel Shapiro flagged governance-capture risk. No EIP number has been assigned as of June 24, 2026.
This event resolves YES if the proposal receives a formal EIP number assignment (via a GitHub PR merged into the ethereum/EIPs repository) on or before July 22, 2026 UTC. This event resolves NO if no EIP number is assigned by the deadline.
1. Specificity: YES requires a merged PR with a valid EIP number in the ethereum/EIPs GitHub repository attributable to this proposal.
2. Exclusion: Forum posts, Ethereum Magicians threads, or draft/unmerged PRs do NOT count.
3. Source Hierarchy: ethereum/EIPs GitHub repository (primary). Eips.ethereum.org (secondary). Official EF blog (tertiary).
4. Timing: Must occur before July 22, 2026 23:59 UTC. Post-deadline resolves NO.
5. Cancellation Rule: A PR opened but not merged before the deadline resolves NO.
